Symposium
Fall Symposium
The CRR Symposiums have replaced the Desert Southwest Fire and Life Safety Educators Conference and the Juvenile Firesetter and Injury Prevention/Juvenile Firesetter Conference. These one-day training opportunities offer the latest trends and programs for the Public Educator. The symposiums are designed to assist many levels of the Fire and Life Safety Educators — beginning, intermediate, or advanced — by giving usable tools to start a program or fine tune one already in place.

“Leadership in Fire and Life Safety Education: Skills needed for today’s (and tomorrow’s) issues”
Benjamin Franklin is quoted as saying “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn”
Leadership in Fire and Life Safety (FLS) education happens at all levels with the goals of preparing a workforce with the skills needed to educate, involve, and empower community members to protect themselves, their families, and their neighbors from fire and related hazards. In this dynamic workshop, participants will learn to lead by example through exploration of the evolution of FLS education and building of knowledge and skills to respond to current and emerging challenges and trends to provide impact their community.
