Applications are being accepted to nominate the 2016 Fire & Life Safety Educator of the year. Award to be presented at the 44th Annual Arizona State Fire School
For 30 years, AFBEA has remained at the leading edge of innovative and transitional training, making the Community Risk Reduction Educator a true professional. Through its various seminars, AFBEA has become a force on the national front, gaining recognition for our state and the distinctive challenges facing the fire service today.
Annually, an educator is selected from his or her state peers as the Fire and Life Safety Educator of the Year, which is presented at State Fire School. The award deserves prestigious recognition not only because the efforts of individuals in this field work to increase public awareness of safety issues, but also reduce the risks that firefighters put themselves in each time they go a call.
