Characterization Camp

Educational Characterization through Clowning & Puppetry Camp

January 28-31, 2013

Bullhead City, AZ

Arizona Fire and Burn Educators Association is a 501.c(3) Non-Profit Corporation

This is a hands on Camp and promises to be one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of your career as a public educator. Our camp will provide techniques and approaches using educational puppetry and characterization, which will enhance your development of creative fire and life safety programs!  Be ready to work hard and share and steal ideas!

This camp is designed for individuals who are interested in promoting fire and life safety in their communities. Bring your props, costumes and make up if you have them. If not, just bring yourself and be ready to learn. You will be placed in groups of all skill levels to help you get started or revamp your existing programs.  Learn scripting, proper safety messaging, how to build props and your set, working on a limited budget and much, much more!

For more information about the 2013 camp, contact the Camp Co-chairs:

Chairperson is Keith Tanner, ktanner@scwfire.org and Tanja Tanner, afbea@afbea.org
